Strengthening capacities for the identification of sharks in Peru

Defenders of Wildlife in partnership with Humane Society International and the government of Peru, organized in June-July, 2017 three local workshops in the regions of Paita, Ilo and Pucusana, Peru to provide capacity building to representatives of the Ministry of Fisheries, Ocean Institute of Peru, Customs and Environmental Ministry on shark and shark fins identification, traceability and CITES implementation of the shark and manta listed species.
